Cheltenham midfielder Nigel Atangana will miss Saturday's match with Tranmere as he begins a spell of up to nine months out following Achilles surgery.
The 29-year-old was hurt in last weekend's Sky Bet League Two loss at Crawley, and joins Will Boyle and Sean Long on the list of long-term absentees.
Johnny Mullins will also miss the match with an ankle injury, while Manny Daku - back from loan at Barnet - is out with a knee problem. Jordon Foster is doubtful with a dead leg and though Ryan Broom is close to a return, he is unlikely to start.
