The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building ever erected. It is an 828-meter tower, containing 163 occupied floors (and 48 service floors). It is an entire city with its own boulevards, lawns, and parks. Defying the wildest dreams of sci-fi movie directors, this skyscraper represents the future fulfilled in reality.
BUYING THE TICKETS
This is the starting point of your journey to the Burj Khalifa. If you plan to visit the tallest high-rise in the world spontaneously and think you’ll be able to show up, visit, and leave, one of the following scenarios is guaranteed to occur. Either you will waste an unreasonable amount of time in a line to the ticket desk or (which is more probable) there will be no tickets available at the site. The rule you should abide by is to buy the tickets in advance and do it online on must2go.com.
You can select either the prime-time tickets or the standard fare ones. The prime-time window fluctuates depending on the time of the year, but generally falls between 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The ticket prices for observing the city at sunset or twilight are twice as expensive. However, it doesn’t limit the number of customers and the hot tickets are usually gone in advance.
Three floors of the tower are open to visitors.
The viewing areas on the 124th and 125th floors are open to the masses at the lowest rates. Our catalogue has them listed as the ““bronze tickets”“. Obviously, you will need to navigate the crowd of tourists and seek out the right moment to take a good picture against the impressive backdrop of the city from a bird’s eye view.
There is another, premium viewpoint on the 148th floor. The benefits are fewer fellow-visitors, a calmer atmosphere, and complimentary coffee with some sweets. Naturally, this privilege comes at a higher price.
Go to Burj Khalifa by the Dubai Metro – another technological miracle, built by order of the Emirate. Leaving the metro station, you will arrive at the famous Dubai Mall, the total area of which is equal to 200 football fields. Getting lost in it and not finding an exit to Burj Khalifa is almost impossible because of numerous signs pointing to the iconic site. But if you still manage to lose your way, feel free to approach any guard and ask them to escort you in the right direction. They will not refuse you this favor. In fact, this recommendation is listed in the Tower’s brochure.
