A street brawl in Nerja was filmed on Calle Jaén where it meets Avenida Castilla Pérez in the centre of the town, involving locals and foreign tourists.
The footage, which lasts just over two minutes, shows around half a dozen people, some of whom are exchanging blows and others trying to separate them. The end of the video shows the Guarda Civil arriving to break it up.
According to the police, the fight was between three residents and three Dutch tourists. The ‘butcher’s bill’ however was light, with somebody needing a couple of stitches and another suffering a fractured toe.
According to the municipal authorities, this sort of thing rarely happens, despite the amount of people crowded into the town in August.
