The first rains of winter brought skids and collisions on the roads of the island this morning. From the early hours of Friday morning, a car overturned on the exit to Playa Blanca from Arrecife. Firefighters removed the car keys to avoid any possible explosion, cleaned the road and righted the vehicle with a winch.
Another vehicle overturned at the crossroads of Las Breñas to Yaiza around 07.00 am. On arrival firefighters said that the occupant had a possible fractured femur and in Compliance with safety measures, the injured man was lifted wearing a collar by means of a spinal board and transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Around 08.00 am in the morning in the Alonso district of Arrecife a car ploughed into a building and was left hanging on railings.
Another vehicle, collided with the fence of the Circunvalación ring road, Arrecife,at 8.30 am near the bridge coming from the north. More data about the accidents is not available at the moment, but first reports say that damage was minimal.
