Representatives of Telefonica in the Canary Islands have given a guarantee to Yaiza City Council of an investment of over €400,000 this year to install fibre optic cable in about 3,300 homes in Playa Blanca, so finally, residents will soon be able to surf the internet with 300 mbs, symmetrical (Which means having the same download speed as data upload).
At the meeting held in the Council Offices with Óscar Noda, Yaiza Councillor for New Technologies and Jonatan Lemes head of Public Works, asked the company for technical improvements to the Internet access service in the different towns on the island. "It's good news that Playa Blanca residents can enjoy fast internet browsing, but we also advocate further investment and improvements to services in other population centres."said Óscar Noda.
The fibre service has now arrived at Holabuzz.com and we'll give you our journey to the faster highway over the weekend.
