Holy Week approaches and hotel occupancy in Lanzarote is almost over 90%, according to a study on hotel prices and availability by Trivago.
The highest number of searches for the Canaries were Spaniards, who traditionally enjoy spring breaks at Easter, followed by British, Italian, French and Germans.
The most popular date is Holy Thursday, on this day, many hotels will hang no vacancies signs.
Many residents are also choosing to stay on the island for Easter and enjoy the weather.
Despite the high hotel occupancy on Thursday and Good Friday there are still availabilities for the end of the holiday, Saturday and Sunday.
Christmas bookings are also on the rise for The Canaries this year despite Brexit and a gloomy world economy.
