Breathalyzer Weekend In Lanzarote
Guardia Civil made multiple breathalyzer checks this weekend in Lanzarote and police sources have informed Lancelot Digital that the vigilance campaign is to be intensified in the next few days.
Playa Honda was one of the areas on the island where the Civil Guard had a heavier presence at the weekend.
On Friday and Saturday night, Guarda Civil set up a check point in the industrial zone, next to Conforama, stopping vehicles that passed and checking drivers for having consumed alcohol.
Local Police were also assisting the checks, next to frozen food store Roper.
Civil Guard carried out checks in Tahíche, near the petrol station and close to the César Manrique Foundation.
The increase in traffic accidents on Lanzarote is thought to be the reason for the increase in police vigilance on the island.
